Redesigning Housing Court

The NuLawLab has an opportunity to partner with the Massachusetts Trial Court and the design consultancy IDEO to tackle a fundamental redesign of Housing Court in Massachusetts. This five-year effort would use service and system design methods to approach the challenge from the perspective of the full range of end-users of our courts – represented and unrepresented parties, attorneys, judges, clerks and administrators, jury members, and many others.

Compelling idea, isn't it?

Remarkably, we've not secured the funding we need to get started, despite several years of trying. What we are seeking now is just $50,000 in pledges. That would allow us to pilot and evaluate a few ideas generated by the design work we've already done, with outcomes ready within three months. We are confident the objectively-measured results will convince additional funders to join the effort.
